Memorial ServiceReviewed on June 24, 2014From Jones, MI

Dr. Bob Graham played at my Father's memorial service. To get there he drove about 85 miles and was there in plenty of time to review the program. This he did with minimal contact. Bob was very accommodating and also provided suggestion that enhanced the service. His regalia was great, very tasteful and that's important for a piper. I would book him again without hesitation and recommend him to my family and friends. Everyone felt that this was a great enhancement to the service. If you have any event or other reason for hiring a bagpiper, do it.

Dr. Graham was delightful to work with. This was my first experience with planning a memorial service and using a bagpiper. Dr. Graham was familiar with the order of the service and was very accomodating when things did not goes as expected. I will definately recommend Dr.Graham.

Memorial ServiceReviewed on December 17, 2012From Rockford, MI

Dr. Graham arrived 25 minutes later than promised with no apology, 5 minutes before my beloved mother's memorial service. I should have been in the sanctuary but had to await his arrival instead. When he arrived I asked if I could pay him after the service (since he was so late and I was due inside) and he curtly requested that I pay him right then since he 'had another gig at 4:30'. His musical talent was fine, but I was very disappointed in his rudeness. While he would probably be okay for a happy event, I would not recommend him for a funeral or memorial service that is fraught with sadness and anxiety anyway. His tardiness and rudeness added to my distress.

:

Lthough I did arrive later than planned there was atleast 10 minutes of leeway. Having discussed ,by email, the memorial and what was wanted and assurances given that no problems were foreseen the timing was fine. As to payment, it is customary to be paid in advance so as not to disrupt the post event gathering. That also was addressed be e-mail. Im sure that under the stress of the day Ms. Quay mistakenly misinterpreted my responsiveness as rudeness. I was there , ready to play with no hold ups and everything turned out just as planned. It is unfortunate that it was less than satisfactory in Ms Quay's estimaion.

Considering that our ceremony began with a 2 hour delay due to our children getting lost and drove to Kalamazoo, Dr.Bob, was going to stay just so I could walk the processional with the " Highland Cathedral ". We will always be grateful for his service to our special day.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on July 18, 2011From Muskegon, MI

Dr. Bob Graham was wonderful and was a great addition to our birthday event. He marched and played in our backyard on a very hot day. The family enjoyed his playing, and his conversation. There was a little last minute confusion with scheduling, but no big deal, a quick phone call created a solution. Highly recommended if you want to hear bag pipes in the S.W. Michigan area. Thank you Dr. Bob Graham!
