Some people are just born with music coursing through their veins. An accomplished singer-songwriter, Stevens has had the honor of sharing the stage with such national acts as Gin Blossoms, Blood Sweat and Tears, Kenny Loggins, America, Huey Lewis and the News, Foreigner, The Doobie Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, Peter Frampton, Todd Rundgren, Steve Forbert, and Zebra, just to name a few. Hopping over the bridge to NYC, Stevens has found himself on stage at some of the most sought-after venues such as The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, and The Iridium, and also has performed at many noteworthy venues in New Jersey including Bergen Performing Arts Center, PNC Bank Arts Center, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Surflight Theatre, and the New Jersey Festival of Ballooning. He has had the privilege of performing at Buckalew's on Long Beach Island as well as at the benefit for first responders at the Gables following their devastating fire.
While living in Nashville, Stevens wrote, collaborated and performed with many of the most prominent names in the music world, and performed at the most coveted singer/songwriter venue in the world, the legendary Bluebird Café, as well as many other important stages. A member of the prestigious New York Friars Club, Stevens performs frequently at Friars events and benefit shows for children's hospitals and has been honored to perform for our Wounded Warriors at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
With years of experience performing in diverse settings, Stevens is a dynamic entertainer with a gift for reading his audience. The melodies in his original material have been compared to those of Jack Johnson, Plain White T's and the Beatles. Stevens has just completed his latest CD, scheduled for a summer 2013 release, and has had the privilege of including world-renowned musicians such as Liberty Devitto (Billy Joel), George Small (Graham Parker/John Lennon), Muddy Shews (Southside Johnny), Jimmy Clark (Blondie/Joan Jett), Kenny Vaughan (Marty Stuart/Lucinda Williams) and Van Manakas (Windham Hill Records), on many of his recordings.
