Having a birthday celebration? Have your child's next birthday celebration at Butterfly Pavilion! All of our customizable birthday party packages include a two-hour private room rental, tables and chairs, and access to our interactive exhibits. Exhibit access begins at the time the party starts, and guests can stay in the exhibits until closing time (5 p.m.). Buggy Story Time Imaginations will run wild while listening to stories about some of our favorite buggy friends. Meet some of the real animals featured in our story books! Tour with Pete the Praying Mantis Surprise! It's a guest appearance by our mascot, Pete the Praying Mantis—a picture-perfect moment at any party! Pete and his "handler" provide fun and exciting facts about a variety of invertebrates during at 30-40 minute tour of the exhibits. Live Animal Encounter (indoor parties only) Get up close and personal with our ambassador animals including Rosie, the friendly Chilean rose-hair tarantula. Learn about Madagascar hissing cockroaches, millipedes, and other fascinating animals in an interactive 30-40 minute presentation. Butterfly Craft Project (indoor parties only) Discover a butterfly's life-cycle on a tour of Wings of the Tropics, our expansive indoor rainforest, and then make your very own butterfly to take home! Venomous Adventures (indoor parties only) Discover the world of spiders, centipedes, and scorpions! Learn how and why these critters produce venom, and send your spidey-sense tingling when you see some of these animals close up during a safe, hands-on activity! Buggy Bubble Boogie (outdoor parties only) Bubbles, funky beats, and our underwater invertebrates inspire groovy new moves in this movement-oriented outdoor activity. Jig like a jellyfish, and do the horseshoe crab hustle! Garden Safari (outdoor parties only) Engage all five senses while exploring our outdoor Discovery Garden! Learn about native Colorado plants and animals and how they work together in natural habitats. Team up with friends to complete a nature trail scavenger hunt!
