The Red Wine Effect is a collaboration of two singer/songwriters Hollie Brogunier (Guitar/Vocals) and Kathy Redwine (Bass/Vocals) Their style is somewhere between Wilson Phillips and Indigo Girls, infused with Country and Bluegrass elements. Their album, "Afternoon Cab," is a reflection of their
eclectic tastes and writing styles and covers the gamut of a woman's emotions, from love and longing to revenge, pride and patriotism. They typically perform as a 4-piece acoustic band. House concerts and listening rooms are ideal venues for The Red Wine Effect.
Hailing from Maryland and Oregon respectively, both women moved to Nashville seeking to further their songwriting careers. They met in 2008, and immediately bonded over music, motherhood, and, of course, red wine. When they began performing at writers' nights together, it became apparent that two was better than one.
In October 2010, they decided to make it official and give the duo a name. The Red Wine Effect has been performing around Nashville at notable venues such as the Bluebird Cafe, The Hard Rock Cafe and they were also featured on WSM radio (home of the Grand Ole Opry radio show) Their 2015 tour schedule includes New York, Ohio, Georgia and Florida.
Please note The Red Wine Effect will also travel to Madison, Lebanon, Mount Juliet, La Vergne, Hendersonville, Hermitage, Ridgetop, Smyrna, Antioch, Gladeville, Old Hickory, Lascassas, Arrington, Murfreesboro, Nolensville, Brentwood, Norene, Watertown, Gallatin, Goodlettsville, Milton, Auburntown, Castalian Springs, Franklin, Mitchellville, Whites Creek, Christiana, Alexandria, Readyville, Rockvale.
