Don Forbes and Reckless Americana Band from Novato, CA

Don Forbes and Reckless consists of Don Forbes, lead vocals and guitar, Ric Wilson, vocals and lead guitar, Brian Rashap, vocals and bass, Sean England, drums, Peter Penhollow, keyboards, and Josh Yenne, pedal steel. Reckless plays a mix of originals (75%) and cover tunes. Their covers include songs by Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle, Dwight Yoakam, and others. Forbes is an award-winning alt-country/rock singer/songwriter from Novato Ca. His musical style reflects much of the music he grew up listening to over the years. These influences include Buddy Holly, The Every Brothers, the Byrds, AC/DC, Tom Petty, Steve Earle, Ryan Adams and many others. He began writing songs in the mid-nineties, and released his first CD "Somethin' About Guitars" in 2006. That album includes "I Just Got Here First", winner of the West Coast Songwriters's 2013 International Song Contest in the "Americana" genre. His song "I Know" from his just released CD "The Tikitown Sessions" received an Honorable Mention in WCS 2017 song contest under "Gospel/Christian/Inspirational" genre. "The Tikitown Sessions" was produced by Scott Mathews, producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist with over 20 gold and multi-platinum awards. It was recorded at Mathew's TIkitown Studios and is now available on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon, Spotify, Pandora and several other sites.
