"Baby-boomer meets Silent Generation" – That's Justus2. Stepping between and across generational lines, this duo offers a truly multi-generational experience. Based out of Calvert County, Maryland – a rural coastal suburb of Washington, DC, the essence of their Southern Maryland lifestyles are reflected in the their musical style and many of the songs they perform. In trying to think of someone to compare this duo to, I can't think of a single person or band to whom they compare. Whether performing covers or originals, Justus2 is delightfully unique. Many of the songs this duo performs may be familiar to many of you. You may recognize a melody, a chorus line or something as simple as a phrase. Their hope is that their unique style and delivery of each song stirs up a sweet memory or a feeling of nostalgia that one only gets from hearing songs they loved from long (and not so long) ago - similar to slipping into your favorite jeans from high school and finding that they still fit! How amazing is that!?! Their musical influences span the decades. With over 70 years of collective experience, they have played together in various configurations for over 20 years. However, after many years of 4, 5 and 6-piece bands, Chris & Pat have decided to try something different - something authentic and much more simplistic. Hence, Justus2 is born. Having been very well received at open-mics, jams, fundraisers and other local events, they are now stepping out of their comfort zones. The "classic" musical diversity and energy that this duo provides may very well be what you are looking for.
