The Juliane Band plays 20th century, acoustic Americana: folk, folk, bluegrass, folk-rock, gospel, pop and country—with snappy vocal harmonies. Their feel-good favorites and solid originals feature: Juliane Poirier's powerfully emotive vocal talent; John Ruch's versatile artistry on 8-string baritone, 6-string steel guitar and harmony vocals; and Ann Gilleran's superb talents on fiddle, mandolin and harmony vocals. The Juliane Band's live radio performances include NPR's West Coast Live and San Francisco's Che's Kitchen, on Pirate Cat Radio. Musical honors include "best solo performance" from the West Coast Songwriter's Association. The Juliane Band performs at events, clubs, parties, festivals and house concerts. Their music has been welcomed at trio and solo performances in Sweden, England, upstate New York, rural New Hampshire and Texas, Seattle, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Oakland and Ventura California. Hometown performances have included the Napa Valley Opera House, Silo's Nightclub, and numerous winery and private event venues.
