Frankie Joe Daigle has played all over the United States and abroad from the bayous of Louisiana to Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center to Farm Aid and the Grand Ole Opry. Frankie has appeared on TNN (The Nashville Network), Good Morning America, and the Regis Philbin Show. He has also appeared along side Charley Pride, Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, Bobby Vinton, 18-Time Grammy Award winner Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra, Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt and played the Grand Ole Opry with Jimmy C. Newman & Cajun Country and along side another boyhood hero, “The Ragin' Cajun” -Doug Kershaw.
In addition to performing at Farm Aid with the Allman Brothers Band, Frankie Joe has also recorded several albums and made several appearances with Willie Nelson. He can also be seen briefly in the 2011 Academy Award winning movie for Best Picture "Black Swan". In 1984 he was named 'Fiddler of the Year' by the Cajun French Music Association (CFMA).
While Frankie Joe Daigle and The Swamp Rats is an Americana band, their latest CD, "Hot & Spicy" features fire driven, highly seasoned Cajun music as a Tribute to his Grandfather and mentor, as well as his family on his Mother's side. It includes original compositions and clever cover arrangements.
