Losers of the Year is a band from Southern California whose primary focus is original rock music for the masses. The band is comprised of four brothers who have been playing together since 2003. The band's sound has evolved tremendously over the years from their pop-punk roots to the dynamic rock sound they exhibit today. Losers of the Year takes a great deal of pride in giving the audience a show worth talking about the next day. In addition to performing rock music that actually rocks with a mixture of wit and charm, the band often brings fans on stage to sing, dance or even play guitar.
The equipment used by the band is beautiful in it's simplicity. A five piece drum set keeps the beat while a 8x10 bass cab pumps 1000 watts of low end groove into the ears of everyone in attendance. Two 4x12 half stacks provide the rhythm and lead guitar as all four band members take their turn on the mic performing a wide range of styles and sounds. With four full length albums of material including a 21 song concept album in their arsenal Losers of the Year has enough material to mix and match for the perfect set list tailor made for you event. The bands on stage antics are a sharp contrast to their off stage professionalism and dedication to their craft. Losers of the Year puts their hosts second only to their audience. often arriving earlier than required in order to make sure the show goes off without a hitch.
Online the bands presence has continued to grow over the years with over 1200 Facebook fans, 300 Youtube subscribers, 700 Google+ Followers and over 600 Twitter followers. All of which is utilized to spread the word about upcoming shows. The band is almost always in the top 3 of their local ReverbNation ranking. Their songs are consistently played on their local rock station X103.9fm and they have won numerous battle of the band contests in their region. The band was nominated for "Best of the Desert" by their local news paper and have shared the stage with several big label bands including The Matches, Suburban Legends and The Pink Spiders.
The band has always had a strong work ethic and do it yourself mentality that has propelled them through the noise of the fly by night groups and artists that have come and gone over the years. Losers of the Year can make any event, no matter how small feel like the biggest show of the year.
