The Cuban Connection Acrobat from Tampa, FL

It is a great pleasure to introduce to you our company, The Cuban Connection. We began our journey on December 2015 in Florida, our home town. We enjoy sharing with the circus world our experience, knowledge and skills to keep the circus tradition in our communities. The Cuban Connection has three members and they perform several acts including the Russian Bar and the Chinese Pole. Abel Driggs, Ihosvani Cedeno and Miguel Angel Perez,Cuba natives, have been training in gymnastics and representing their country since they were teenagers. On 2010, they joined the Circo Nacional de Cuba and started their careers. Ihosvani Cedeno has been performing as an artistic gymnast since he was nine years old becoming an outstanding flyer. He shared the "Estrella de Oro" award in 2011 as part of the Compañia Havana of Circo Nacional de Cuba with the Russian Bar act and member of the group, “Mambo # Five”. Later on, they performed in France where they won an award at the Grenoble Festival. Ihosvani came to Atlanta, Georgia in 2015 teaming up with Abel Driggs, the group director, as performers of the Russian Act in the UniverSoul Circus. Abel Driggs, nationally and internationally well known gymnast along with Miguel Angel Perez, who have developed great skills and techniques as a gymnast, came to United States in the summer of 2011 as performers of High Bar acts for the Ringling Circus. By the fall of 2012 they created their Chinese Pole Act, known as Duo Dinámico. After numerous presentations, Abel joined Ihosvani on the Russian Bar Act on 2015 and created a new company, The Cuban Connection. Their goal is to bring to the audiences world class performances that represent their culture, traditions and showmanship. Miguel Angel Perez also joined the group as one of the Chinese Pole performers on March 2016. The Cuban Connection has received great support and recognition from all audiences throughout United States since December 2015. Their desires and high expectations will lead them to success.
