"The Carolyn Hannan Trio" brings thirty years of great music and friendship to the stage!
Our vision is to tell stories, paint pictures, bring forth a chuckle or a tear with the beloved music of America, Ireland and Scotland across the decades.
Carolyn Hannan has been entertaining audiences across the country and in Ireland with her warm voice, gentle guitar and vast repertoire of music. From Celtic music festivals to Military reunions, Carolyn sings the songs that bring a smile, a tear or a memory. Her engaging, personable demeanor along with her entertaining repartee leaves her fans wanting more.
She has shared the stage with The Wolfe Tones, The Clancy Brothers, Peter Morrison, and Seamus Kennedy as well as honored veterans at Military Reunions and WWII Commemorative events. Carolyn is thrilled to be joining her friends, Marlene and Thom, sharing their joy of story telling through music.
As a performing musician Marlene hopes people are enjoying the music she plays as much as she does. As a professional pianist/keyboardist and chorale director she has performed for audiences across the United States at festivals; concerts, weddings, anniversary and birthday parties, military reunions and air shows. She enjoys the young and not so young audiences equally!
She loves to see people sing and dance to her playing or even tapping their feet because then she knows the music has moved them.
She also teaches music and works as a music therapist helping people to gain knowledge and ease troubles. She's really good at that!
Thom Gilbride, a professional guitarist, mandolinist, and vocalist for 35 years, has played extensively in the folk and Irish music scenes around the East Coast and internationally. He has performed with Scottish singer Carl Peterson, Irish musicians Pat Kildae and Vince Gallagher, and he has toured Ireland twice with the Tom McCloskey Trio. A standard at Delaware Valley folk festivals and Irish pubs through the '80s and '90s,
Thom is making a return with partners Carolyn Hannan and Marlene Williams, bringing his powerful voice and rhythmic guitar playing to a collection of classics from the '30s, '40s, '50s, Irish and folk genres.
