Gary Rodriguez Guitarist from Tucson, AZ

Gary Rodriguez performs on acoustic and electric guitar. He plays a wide array of genres from jazz and folk to rock and pop music. While Gary specializes in solo guitar performances, he occasionally sings and brings an extra helping hand, available upon request. Gary is available to perform at private events, weddings, public functions, office parties and any venue that will accommodate his equipment. Gary has all of the equipment he needs to perform his music, no additions required. While studying guitar all throughout his teenage years, Gary quickly fell in love with jazz and rock. From Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin to Joe Pass and Grant Green, he knew what his calling was in life. The DVD that changed it all for Gary was the G3 Live in Tokyo film. After watching Joe Satriani play that guitar like he did and command the audience, he wanted to study music for the rest of his life. It was from there that Gary pursued a career in music and went on to study Jazz Guitar Performance at George Mason University's School of Music. Whether it's jazz and R&B or rock and funk, Gary's taste in music is widespread. Venturing into these different realms of music enabled him to learn bass and piano. He cites Pink Floyd, Joe Satriani, Grant Green, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass and Stevie Wonder as his major influences. Gary is currently performing with the 108th Army Band "Arizona's Own" in Phoenix, AZ, teaching private guitar lessons and arranging music. With his trusty Eastman and Martin guitars by his side, music and Gary always travel hand in hand with a simple goal in mind: to create wonderful music that the world can enjoy listening to.
