Clyde, a cancer survivor, has been playing in bands since 1966: The Outcasts, The Avengers, AURA, Elmer J. Fudd, Silver Creek, Mistress, Chance, and others.
Now he is focusing on realizing his dream - what he feels he was born to do: entertaining by singing popular songs especially from the classic rock and current top 40 era. Also, a one-man-band, he has professional performance sound tracks of popular dance music that will be sure to please.
He also attended college and obtained two teaching degrees. However, unable to find a good fit in a teaching position locally, he is concentrating on his music career - finally recording songs he's written throughout his lifetime and writing new ones.
He enjoys playing anywhere there are people who appreciate music. He loves to see people having a good time.
Clyde considers leading worship at New Life Chapel in Lebanon, PA an awesome experience. He has written some of the songs that are used in the service. He has just released his first worship and praise CD called FAITH. Hear samples online at cspang1.
Clyde Spangler likes to keep current with the songs of today and performs some of the hits from the current top 40 from artists such as Bruno Mars, Train, Plain White Ts, Jason Mraz, Mike Posner and Adele. He is also constantly learnin classic rock songs from the past that can please audiences of all ages. If allowed, Clyde will perform songs from his new CD called "Old Gin Road" with or without performance backing tracks.

Clyde has been recently working on expanding his performance capabilities to include wedding ceremonies and is learning classical songs on his new nylon string guitar such as Canon in D, Jesu the Joy of Man's Desiring and many others. He likes to add a little reverb to his small PA system to make the classical guitar sound phenomenal. Traditional wedding songs such as the recessional can be added from his laptop.
Percussionist and/or female singer can possibly be added at your request.

Clyde was extremely accommodating in taking on our event with less than 24 hours notice after our previous band came down sick. Clyde was quick to reply, flexible, and did a phenomenal job given the circumstances. He arrived early to set up for a scheduled 4 hour set, played a wide variety of music throughout the evening, and even played DJ at the end of the night as guests requested some 90's/2000's dance music. All in all I would highly recommend Clyde!

recommend his music from the Glenn Miller and Nat King Cole eras as well.

Wedding Ceremony•Reviewed on January 14, 2014•From Hershey, PA
Clyde Spangler was professional, on time and very accommodating. We hired him to sing for our wedding ceremony. I had made a mistake in the title of one of the songs and had therefore picked the wrong song. I realized this the week before the wedding. Mr Spangler, eagerly and without complaint, charted the music for it himself and sang it wonderfully. It made our wedding ceremony even more meaningful. It was very hot the day of our wedding in June but Mr Spangler delivered nonetheless. After this, we also hired him for a large picnic we had over the summer. We had the same flawless experience with him. We highly recommend him.
