David Adler Guitar & Vocals Classic Pop & Soul For All Occasions Available for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, cocktail parties, business functions, restaurant gigs, coronations, ship christenings, state dinners, peace negotiations and so forth. David's specialty is songs from the AM/FM dial, '60s to today, arranged for solo acoustic guitar and voice: everything from Stevie Wonder to Madonna to Pharrell, Paul McCartney to The Pretenders, The Isley Brothers to David Bowie. Older pop and jazz standards too. Requests and songs for the occasion also welcome! David has worked as an accompanist and band member with a wide variety of artists in settings including jazz, rock/pop, gospel, cabaret, musical theater and more. He gigged extensively with Tom Kitt — now a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner for "Next to Normal" — and has performed in some of New York's best-known venues, including Avery Fisher Hall (now David Geffen Hall), Roseland, Joe's Pub, Fez, Mercury Lounge, the Knitting Factory and the Living Room. As a member of the East Village band Keeta Speed, he recorded with the famed producers Dave McDonald (Portishead), Patrick Dillett (They Might Be Giants) and Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips). In summer 2017, after 30 years in NYC, he relocated with his family to Athens, GA, where he continues to perform solo.
