Category 2 has performed throughout South East Michigan at the MGM Grand Casino, The Red Ox Tavern, CJ's Sandbar, The Bowery Grille & Pub, The Plymouth ROC, The Tavern at Tina's Country House, TC Gators, Hamlin Pub, E.G. Nick's and Chapman's Mill as well as a number of private events and festivals. They play your favorite acoustic, classic rock, pop & blues tunes from the 1960s to 2014.
Perry & Russ find it extremely satisfying to express their creativity by mixing in a few unique arrangements of songs not typically performed by acoustic duos (e.g. Roundabout by Yes).
Perry is the ultimate front man who connects with audiences with his impeccable range and charisma. He has performed at The Pontiac Silverdome, Emerald Theater, MGM Grand Detroit, Motor City Casino and Soaring Eagle Casino to name a few.
Russ has been playing lead guitar professionally for 20+ years and has played many of the clubs in Detroit, Ann Arbor & Lansing. Russ has performed hundreds of shows outside Michigan from Detroit to Atlanta and from New York to St. Louis.

I took a chance with booking Category 2 and was very pleasantly surprised. It was a pleasure doing business with both gentlemen. They are most accommodating for requests and sing-a-longs!. As for their singing, they blend very well together, so it is a pleasure to listen to them sing and entertain.
I will definitely hire them again for any future functions I may have.
