Acoustic Soul is Joanne Clendining and Jason Mento. We're South Jersey's premier acoustic duo, rocking tunes from the 60s to today. Acoustic Soul is available and experienced in performing for your parties, banquets, weddings, dinners, corporate events and any other event requiring great music by professional musicians. We enjoy entertaining and making your event extra special! **NOTE: Acoustic Soul is an ACOUSTIC ONLY band. We do not use backing tracks. Joanne started singing when she was 6 years old. She took the stage in small group performances, choirs, and lead roles in musicals. After college, her life took a different turn and her musical endeavors were put on hold. After years of missing music in her life (and years of her husband pleading with her to start singing again), Joanne returned to the music world to share with others her love of singing and performing once again. Teaming up with Jason in Acoustic Soul is the perfect fit, as Joanne dusted off her guitar & stepped right back on stage, without missing a beat. Her rapport, easy-going personality and musical choices have wide appeal, and there is no denying that Joanne was born to sing! Jason Mento was born and raised in Southern New Jersey and has over 20 years of experience playing guitar. His studies include a Professional Certificate in Guitar from Berklee College of Music. He enjoys playing and learning all types of music ranging from blues, jazz, rock and classical. Jason is an accomplished performer and has performed throughout the tri-state area at various venues including Ceasars Atlantic City, The Library Restaurant, The Avalon Yacht Club, Penns Landing and Veteran's Stadium. In addition to performing, Jason has a passion for songwriting and has performed on WXPN's Philly Local show with Helen Leicht. Meeting Joanne and creating Acoustic Soul has been an experience filled with fun and energy which he hopes to share with their audience.
