Atlanta based 80's Band of Destiny is a collection of “they can play anything” musicians who, although all full time musicians in their own right (members of the band have played with Five for Fighting, John Mayer and Michael McDonald), decided to get together and play the music that was the soundtrack to their youth.
Their goal is to use utilize the band's diverse lineup to not only cover all the genres of 80's music, but cover them authentically. Whether it's Journey's “Separate Ways”, Prince's “Purple Rain” or “Walkin' on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves, the songs 80's BOD chooses to cover are based around the idea that the best 80's music was simple and fun.
So whether the 80's tune is keyboard driven, guitar driven, pop, hair metal, girl singer, boy singer… 80's Band of Destiny has it covered. And not just “kind of” covered.
