When we perform, nothing is pre-recorded, there are no CD's or tracks playing behind us. Mike Allyn and Mike Dobson have been performing professionally for more years than they care to admit. They have recently joined forces and have created a sound that most full bands only dream of. Mike Allyn's versatile voice has been compared to that of Tom Jones and Neil Diamond, yet he can cover anyone from the Beatles to ZZ Top without missing a beat. The consumate performer, Mike goes out of his way to ensure that you and your guests enjoy your performance. One of the best 12 string guitarists living in Texas today, Mike also plays a Carvin synthesized electric guitar that allows him to play bass, rhythm, strings, piano, banjo, sax, etc., in any combination necessary to cover a song. He also plays a digital drummer, using his feet for the various changes necessary to complement each song. (NOTE: to anyone NOT comfortable with our using a digital drummer, please request that we use a live drummer) Mike Dobson also sings, so there are always full vocal harmonies with these two talented singers. Mike is a very accomplished lead guitarist, adapting his guitar sounds and styling to resemble the original artist's guitar sounds. When a song calls for other instruments, Mike uses a guitar synthesizer that can emulate them. Together, Dueling Mikes create excellent replications and interpretations of the songs you love to hear.
