The CrawlDaddys perform Vintage Rock & Roll. There are no gimmicks to this rockin' mix of 50's, Rock & Roll, Rockabilly and Blues. The music cuts across time and cultural boundaries, back to music's true rock and roll roots.
First performing in Dallas in October 2004, the CrawlDaddys have been
making the rounds at local music clubs, as well as at private engagements, corporate events, schools, and parks. The band plays selections with original arrangements from artists such as Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent, Ricky Nelson, Bill Hailey and the Comets, Chuck Berry, Gene Summers, The Johnny Burnette Trio and many, many more. Original tunes, too!
This four piece band is a showcase of superb musicianship and exceptional entertainment! The CrawlDaddys use dynamics superbly. Some songs are played so softly, you can feel the crowd hone in and focus as conversations stop to soak it up. Then, when they're ready, they turn the juice back on... and the dance floor overflows!
Jon Scallan, fronts the band on vocals and guitar. Jon is nothing short of spectacular. With a super voice, wailin' guitar, and some kind o' wonderful stage presence… Jon rocks! Holding it all together on the bottom, and we couldn't do it without him, is "Mr. Jimi" - Jimi Cleek on bass. Audiences that have seen our drummer, Jeff Bereuter, are in total agreement – when he performs, the crowds pay attention. That's right, we're talkin' the drummer.
Jeff is truly a show unto himself! Robert (fast as) Light takes his years of Rock & Roll and 50's experience from back New York way, and gets down to it with his '66 Gibson guitar.
