The American Dance Combo consist of FOUR professional musicians and combined have over 100 years of experience. INSTRUEMENTATION TENOR SAX-Glenn Parkhurst Glenn's wailing saxophonist- has over 30 years of playing with a wide variety of bands, in all types of settings. He has that special ability to go from the soft sell of Stan Getz to the zippy sounds of Boots Randolf to the commanding growls of Earl Bostic. Glenn also plays keyboard on several songs. Did I mention that he sings? Talk about a triple threat! GUITARIST-Jesse Johnson Jesse's early career was spent in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe where he worked as the "House Guitarist"--backing some of the biggest stars of the 50s and 60s. He performed with Bobby Darin, Harry James, The Four Aces, Glen Campbell, The Ventures, Fats Domino, Roger Miller, Chuck Berry and many others. His love of the Great American Song Book-led to the formation of THE AMERICAN DANCE COMBO. BASS-Larry Burnett Larry is one of the most sought after musicians in the Valley. In addition to gigging with The American Dance Combo-He works with the WEST COAST BIG BAND and the SYMPHONY. Larry also plays trombone on several songs. His tone reminds us of the trombonist with the FOUR FRESHMAN. We should also mention he is a retired Dentist so if anyone in your party should need an emergency root canal- they can always see Larry during intermission. DRUMS-Jack Dawes Affectionately referred to as Cymbal Minded Jack always keeps the band in a jovial mood. You can set your watch to his timing and tempo. He has years of experience playing drums with a number of groups. They don't come any better than Jack. We are fortunate to have him on our team. VOCALS Beverly Parkhurst- with her smooth style of singing, big smile and winning personality draws you into the mix very quickly. She loves the torch songs and pretty waltz tunes and she makes sure that all band members socks match and that we all know where to show up and on time.
