Violinist Violinist from College Park, MD

Kristin Bakkegard is a freelance violinist stationed in the College Park area. She obtained her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Ithaca College in 2012, and is currently finishing up her Master of Music in Violin Performance at the University of Maryland, College Park (she expects to graduate in May 2014). She has several years of experience playing for awards ceremonies, house parties, wedding ceremonies and receptions, buffet receptions, church services, etc. Ms Bakkegard's private instructors include members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and, currently, the Associate Concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra, Elisabeth Adkins. Ms Bakkegard has been accepted into and attended some of the country's major summer festivals, such as the National Repertory Orchestra, the National Orchestral Institute, and the Banff Centre in Canada. She has also toured and performed overseas in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Italy.
