Adam Syed Violinist from Seattle, WA

I am new to the Pacific Northwest, having recently moved here from Ohio. I have been playing the violin at the professional level for more than 15 years. I have had the privilege of studying at two of the finest schools for performance: I received my B. Mus. in Violin Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 2001, and my M.M. in Violin Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2003. Since 2005, I have been a tenured member of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, and have also played extensively with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra; in the Midwest, I have also played with the orchestras of Mansfield, Canton, Youngstown, Cincinnati Chamber Opera, Opera Circle Cleveland, Huntington, Columbus Opera, and Ohio Valley Symphony. In 2004 I went on tour to Taiwan with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra. In addition to symphony orchestras, I likewise have years of experience on the freelance circuit in the Midwest, playing in weddings, corporate events, church events and the like. I own a set of string quartet parts for traditional wedding music. I am hoping that my membership at Gigmaster will be of service to me in finding work of this nature. I am also very interested in the studio recording business in Seattle. Much of my orchestral experience includes numerous pops concerts which have featured many different genres and styles, ranging from the Beatles to Queen to video game music concerts. As such, my musical performing experience is not limited exclusively to Bach, Beethoven and Brahms; however, I am not a jazz or improvisational musician. But if the music is on a page, I will be there to perform it! This recording earned me my position in the Cleveland Institute of Music.
