Katherine's Concert Associates specializes in exquisite live classical and contemporary music for wedding ceremonies, receptions and special events. Whether you are planning a traditional church wedding, an intimate candlelight dinner, or an outdoor ceremony by the ocean, Katherine's Concert Associates will bring the utmost in elegance and musical excellence to your celebration. Our versatile repertoire offers a broad range of musical styles perfectly suited for every taste and event.
Katherine Peterson is an internationally-known violinist and composer. She studied violin with the world-renowned pedagogue, Josef Gingold who was also Joshua Bell's violin teacher. She graduated from Indiana University School of Music, cum laude.
Katherine currently performs Solo Violin and performs with her Katherine's Concert Associates, "Aire of Elegance" Violin and Cello Duo, String Trio and String Quartet in Los Angeles and Orange County, California. Katherine also offers and collaborates with solo piano and solo harp.
She has performed in many concerts throughout the United States and has performed for numerous concerts in Western Europe and South America; i.e. Germany, Spain, Greece, Vienna Austria, Switzerland, East and West Berlin, East Germany, Yugoslavia, Italy, Peru and Brazil.
Katherine is an incredibly versatile violinist! She easily plays a wide variety of music in a wide variety of venues: from weddings at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton to intimate wedding proposals on the beach.
Katherine has a huge repertoire of music! When she plays solo, she plays all of the music "by Heart" and does not need sheet music. The music that Katherine plays include favorites from Classical, Waltzes, Opera, Popular, New Age, and Jazz Standards genres. Her vast repertoire includes many current popular favorites recorded by the Vitamin String Quartet by groups like Cold Play and The Verve.
You are welcome to call Katherine or make an appointment to visit Katherine's Marina del Rey music studio where you can meet her personally, hear her play, and talk about your music details.
