DESCRIPTION:
Exit 44 started out as a fun, energetic cover band under the name "Euharlee River". After several member changes, in 2008 the now-quartet updated its sound, changed its name, and expanded into writing and performing original material; all this, while holding on to the crowd-favorites and appeal that made them one of the most-sought after party bands of their region.Exit 44's mission is to entertain and engage the audience, not just perform for them. "Entertainment is a team sport", says Hannah, the group's Lead Vocalist and Lyricist. Equipped with her wireless mic, she takes the show into the audience, singing and dancing with them. "It makes each performance unique, because we're feeding off the crowd", observes Kevin, Keyboardist, Backup Vocalist, and Writer. From his station behind two keyboards, he provides an orchestral
balance of instruments, ranging from pianos to strings, horns to guitars. Drummer, Bassist, and Writer for Exit 44 adds: "We perform technically-challenging, high-energy songs, and there's no better payoff than a crowded dance floor and a connected audience"; Nick's the quiet one of the group, but the power and grace of his rhythms speak for themselves. "After nearly 30 years in the business, it's incredible to be able to
play and write this caliber of music and have this much fun at the same time", adds Ray, the group's Lead Guitarist, Male Vocalist, and Writer. Ray complements Hannah's electric performances with his jazz-inspired guitar riffs and smoky vocals.
