Elegant Acoustic was John Wilson's solo guitar project, but when he and Joley finally began playing together after circling each other's gigs for years, he let her adopt the name with him. Joley settled into the "pretty music" genre from a rock and classical background, John from Christian worship and punk beginnings. We stayed for several hours just to listen and to talk with them and even danced where there was no dance floor. Joley has perfected three beautiful instruments – piano, flute, and her voice. I hosted a 50th birthday party for Mark a few months later and knew the only entertainment choice for the party was Joley and John.
