BIO Sharon "Pipes" Lasher & The Flashers Band This songstress brings a sultry sizzle to the stage with rich vocals that are both powerful and passionate. Sharon "Pipes" Lasher can be heard belting out gritty done-me-wrong rockin’ blues, blending sweet harmonies to make a melody come alive, or melting your heart as she makes you feel she is singing that love song just for you. Her clear, strong delivery is resonant with the influences of her personal favorites, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Lou Ann Barton, Lucinda Williams, and Kim Richey, incorporating elements of blues, jazz, rock, folk, and country. Sharon has been singing from her early days of church folk masses and Community Theater, to her Monmouth College Band, “Sunset Boulevard”, with “The Bell Bottom Blues, The ultimate Clapton Tribute band”, “The Nick Clemons Band”, “Woodstock” revisited, as well as guesting with many favorite local Jersey Shore luminaries and showcases. Sharon is a member of the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation and Musicians on a Mission, and can be seen performing at their various events and benefits or volunteering to pour in the beer garden. Sharon is a staple performer at the annual international Light of Day concerts benefiting Parkinson's research. You can also hear Sharon inviting the crowd to join her in singing The National Anthem at Monmouth University basketball and football games, her Alma Mater. Sharon’s current projects include: “Heat Wave” a powerful Linda Ronstadt Tribute Band made up of the finest musicians in New Jersey “Lasher & The Flashers”, performing a combination of bluesy rock, heartfelt Americana and original acoustic music, and lovely songs Sharon learned while traveling and singing in Ireland. "TyeDye Microbus Woodstock Band" Sharon’s virtuosity in singing lead and melodic harmonies adds full bodied richness to her duo, trio and full band performances. The next project will be a Bonnie Raitt show! Stay tuned! "Pipes" Lasher & The Flashers & Heat Wave!
