Reaves Sounds of Soul Variety Band from Montgomery, AL

S.O.S (Reaves) Sounds of Soul Band A Montgomery, Al based blues /R&B band started in the late 1980’s. the sounds of soul band was named by recording artist the late Ronnie Love joy who inspired members along with many others .Today the band consist of (Trombonist/Vocalist) James Jackson Reaves, (Saxophonist/ Background Vocalist) Edward Jackson Reaves, (Bass Guitarist/ Vocalist) Javaries Reaves, (lead Guitarist/Vocalist)The late great James Reaves,(Lead Guitarist)Mr.Jessie Knight, lead/Background (Vocalist) Ashley Reaves, Lead (Vocalist) Ora Jackson Reaves, (Trumpist)Acie Munford IV (Keyboardist/ Vocalist) Mike Glover and(percussionist)Mike Johnson. This new sound attracted attention from all over the local communities in Montgomery as well as Millbrook. The band has also traveled around and preformed with various artists such as HEP’ME Records Recording artist The late Robert Hill, Crowd Pleaser Records Recording artist The late Emanuel Huffman, Ecko Records multi recording artist Sterling Williams and Malaco records multi recording artist Billy Soul Bonds. This band has also open and preformed on shows with artist such as Shirley Brown, David Brinston, L.J Echols, Donnie Ray, Bobby Rush Carl Marshal and Glen Jones and many others.
