Anastasia Rene Variety Band from East Elmhurst, NY

Hello and thanks for viewing my Gigmasters listing. I am a very versatile vocalist residing in the New York area currently working with local and regional Jazz, Rock, Jam and Funk/R&B Bands. My past work includes work with jam bands (Vince Welnick of the Grateful Dead, Percy Hill, Assembly of Dust, and the Zen Tricksters), Jazz bands (The Sidewinders who were Gigmasters' top booked Jazz Band for 2007; Miles Davis Drummer Kenwood Dennard; Marty Napoleon, Louis Armstrong's pianist; David Lahm who worked with Joni Mitchell), Rock Bands (The Gregg Allman Band, Amy Helm, Commander Cody) and R&B/Funk Bands and artists. Currently, I frequently perform with New Orleans piano virtuoso Henry Butler and Neville Brothers Saxophonist Charles Neville, as well as my own quartet which has toured in Europe. I've performed in such prestigious venues as Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Hard Rock Cafe NYC & Boston, The House of Blues NYC & LA; The Hatch Shell in Boston opening for the Boston Pops on the 4th of July, B.B. King's Blues in NYC and many, many more. I've also provided music at countless wedding ceremonies, receptions, and corporate functions. Past and current clients include the American Red Cross, MetLife, New York Life, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Harvard University, New England Conservatory of Music and Daddy's Junky Music, to name a few. For weddings and corporate functions I offer the unique perspective of having been an events planner which enables me to work seamlessly with your planner. My band can be sized to fit your budget without compromising the quality of the performance and we can effortlessly give your event a formal feel or a more upscale nightclub/concert feel and anywhere in between, at your option.
