WEDDING AND EVENT PLANNING
In addition to top notch music, our detailed planning is something past clients have greatly appreciated! We utilize a proprietary wedding planning document that covers EVERY detail you'll need to think about in terms of your wedding music and announcements. We aim to make planning as simple and fun as possible!
BAND SIZE AND INSTRUMENTATION
Our most popularly booked formats of the band are 7 pieces (same group in the demo video but sax is the only horn), or 8 pieces (same group in the demo video, but no trombone). By request we will gladly quote clients prices for various size bands. We'll work to fit your budget, and the size of your venue!
CEREMONY AND COCKTAIL HOUR:
We can professionally cover your ceremony and cocktail hour needs. Our keyboardist, Andrea Shaut, is an incredibly talented classical pianist - currently the pianist for the world-famous West Point Military Academy Glee Club. She has experience playing at hundreds of wedding ceremonies. We can add other instrumentalists or vocalists for the ceremony as well.
For your cocktail hour, our popular options include solo piano (jazz or classical), sax / piano duo, guitar / bass duo, or a jazz trio (horn, guitar, and bass). All of our cocktail hour options will provide great background music for your guests to enjoy!
PAST CLIENT REFERENCES:
"From start to finish, our experience with Kazz Music was absolutely perfect. The band leader (and saxophonist) Joe was our point-of-contact and he was the most professional, responsive, friendly wedding vendor we encountered during the whole planning process. He was extremely organized and accommodating every step of the way. He even offered to run emergency errands for us on the big day, if necessary.
The band as a unit was incredible. They learned and played our special requests, which sounded incredible. They compiled an incredibly fun, funky, playlist within our guidelines. They got every single one of our guests up and dancing. By he end of the night no fewer than twenty guests had come up to my husband and I to say how amazing the wedding was and how incredible the band was. Our friends are still talking about Kazz Music a full month after the wedding. They are amazingly talented professionals and will rock your socks off.
We were on a tight budget but the band was a huge priority for us. Most wedding bands (at least the 8-piece versions of those bands) in were out of our price range. We took a chance on a lesser-known band and I'm so glad we did. They were incredible, and I would recommend them a thousand times over! I hope they're around to play our tenth anniversary party!!!!" – Annie and Chris – Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, NY
"The band was awesome! We were thrilled. Your lead singer is off the hook. Numerous people said she was a dead ringer vocally for Aretha Franklin. We were so happy with the music. Your rendition of True Companion was beautiful. I know it's kind of a cheesy song, but it didn't sound at all that way when you did it. Not sure if you saw, but I was crying. It was so beautiful and conveyed so much of the emotion I was thinking that night. We absolutely noticed all the little touches you did. The fact that on your own you decided to do a U2 song and chose Angel of Harlem no less was amazing. That is one of my favorite songs and I always joke to Allen that I'm his angel of Harlem. How you knew this had special meaning to me, I don't know, but it was really special for me that you did this. All of our special request songs were great. New York, New York was awesome.
We could not have been happier with the music at our wedding… It was a real pleasure working with you leading up to the wedding. You were very organized and responsive. You have no idea how much of a godsend that is while planning a wedding (well probably you do). It gave us so much confidence…" - Nicole and Allen – Middletown, NY
"If you are reading this because you are considering hiring Kazz Music, let us save you some time: DO IT.
This band is one of the best things to happen to our wedding. Rhonda and the musicians are spectacular. They're not just a "wedding band". It's like having a LIVE concert at your wedding.
They created the perfect blend of music that fit into the background as people ate and talked, and then turned up the volume playing hits that had everyone on the dance floor. A few of our friends are professional musicians too, and they were practically bowing down to Rhonda when she sang. Our guests were a range of cool young people to older family members – and everyone's response was, "That was the best band EVER."
We can't say enough how meaningful their performance was to us. We originally gave them a long list of our favorite songs, and expected to only hear a few. Well, they played nearly all of them. And they are the NICEST people too. You could really tell that they love music and they love playing together, which means a lot when it's your wedding. Working with good people is so important…
…We could not be more grateful to this band, and we give them our highest recommendation. If they are your wedding band, get psyched. It's going to be a great party." - Ariel and Naava – Locust Grove, Poughkeepsie, NY

Feedback
- This was not your typical cheezy wedding band. They had soul and really brought it! Furthermore, they went out of their way to accomodate us. I would highly recommend Kazz for any function. -- Jack S, New York, NY, 7/16/2011
- I can't say enough about how professional, talented, accommodating, supportive, and caring Joe and the Kazz crew were during this entire process. Thanks to Kazz, my wedding was the best party I've ever been to -- and I'm not the only one with that opinion. Oh, and you've got to hear their version of "Let's Get It On." Pitch perfect! -- Chris S, Mamaroneck, NY, 9/9/2011
- We were so lucky to have found Kazz. They were eager, professional, and hard working. They rehearsed new songs- very challenging songs for that matter- in just a few weeks before our wedding to give us exactly what we wanted. They brought such great energy for an array of different styles, and our guests couldn't get over how great they were. The country club said that out of all the weddings they've had- they've never heard a group like this. They delve into soul, rock, and 70s music to get your guests DANCING! For the amount of talent we got, the price was MORE than reasonable... In our opinion they should start charging more, SO BOOK THEM NOW before they do! :-) -- Mary M, Easton, PA, 7/15/2011
- OVERALL EXPERIENCE?
one word.
PHENOMENAL!
Kazz' played at Utica College for the Black Student Union's 22nd Annual Kwanzaa Dinner. As President of this organization I wanted to blow away our audience, and by hiring Kazz Music Orchestra, I did just that.
Within minutes of playing, the musicians had everyone on the dance floor and grooving to songs even older than the students themselves! They grabbed the attention of the audience the entire night with oldies like “My Girl” by The Temptations and “Respect” by Aretha Franklin. From the singer, all the way down to the keyboards-very ELECTRIFYING and soulful.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
