If you're looking for the perfect party band, look to the Gruve. Performing R&B, Soul & Gospel,the Gruve consists of two extremely talented musicians: Ron Crowder and Steve O'Neill. The two met about 10 years ago and the chemistry was instant. Both men are accomplished singers, songwriters and recording engineers, as well as being masters at their instruments. They have created a very creative and entertaining duo: The Gruve. They perform with nothing more than keyboards and drums, but manage to create the fullness of an entire band. With both Ron and Steve being accomplished singers, the vocal blend is magic. Trading off vocals, keeps the songs fresh and interesting. One of the most intriguing aspects of the Gruve is the attention to changing the songs just enough to fit the personalities of the band. Don't assume that being a duo the Gruve can't fill a dance floor; quite the opposite. A surprising energy is generated by these two. Watching these two perform is a joyous experience, as they are grinning and laughing the entire time. In addition, the Gruve is quite entertaining as they share a comfortable and clever banter between songs. Whether in a club, a special event or even a wedding, the Gruve sets the groove.
