The BackBeats are the #1 Tribute to The Beatles in Michigan. Using authentic instruments and costumes, The BackBeats take their audiences on a Magical Mystery Tour of yesteryear, when the whole world knew the four names of John, Paul, George and Ringo. With more bookings than any other Beatle band in Michigan, The BackBeats is proud to be the only Michigan-based Beatle show to have had sponsorship by both of the major classic rock Detroit radio stations (104.3 and 94.7) and also by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. With the current over saturation of Beatle bands featuring bad wigs and ill-fitting black suits, come see why The BackBeats continues to put on the most entertaining and authentic Beatle show this side of Liverpool. BackBeats founder, Eli Echevarria (John Lennon), is no stranger to the stage. As an award winning children’s entertainer, Eli has performed throughout the Midwest, Canada, and England, and has been an invited guest lecturer at dozens of magic and clowning conventions and workshops. A classically trained musician, Eli has brought together all of his talents to recreate Lennon’s music and wise-cracking stage persona. If anyone was destined for his role, it would have to be Bob Beahon (Paul McCartney). Like Sir Paul, Bob is an accomplished bassist (left handed of course), guitarist, pianist, and drummer, and his first tenor voice gives him the rare ability to easily hit McCartney’s legendary high notes. Bob’s uncanny recreation of Paul’s on stage role as master of ceremonies ensures that a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
