Chris Humphrey Big Band

The Chris Humphrey Big Band is a swing/latin/jazz band on the scene in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, available NOW to play events ranging from corporate parties and ballroom dances to intimate club dates and charity functions to concerts in city parks. This 14 piece band's membership is experienced, deeply musical and all are in high demand as individual musicians in their own right.

Chris Humphrey can provide you with solo piano/vocals, duos, trios, quartets, quintets...his 7-piece "little big band", as we;; as the flagship "Chris Humphrey Big Band"

Musical Focus: Classic big band jazz, featuring tunes from 1930s-1960s. Stylistically, we try to emulate the Count Basie Orchestra. We also play tunes made famous by Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich and Glenn Miller.

• These guys were fantastic. Everyone loved the music. They managed to get almost everyone dancing. Chris had the added challenges of not being able to use any amplified sound. We could not have a microphone or evan a piano that plugged in and the sound was still fantastic! I would recommend these guys to anyone! • The Chis Humphrey Big Band played at our wedding and I can't say enough great things about them. We found them simply through a web search, and Chris' voice was excellent. We considered the price for his talent level exceptional! We purchased a quartet (Chris plays piano and sings, and he brought a drummer, upright bass player and saxophonist. Chris was exceptionally professional, answering emails much quicker than I ever expected, working out all of our questions and the details quickly. • I would have loved to see them all dresses the same as in a white shirt and tie of the same or tuxedos. I failed to request this I assumed they would all dress the same music was awesome and loved the band they will play anything you ask.
