DESCRIPTION:
It's been said that nothing sounds like a big band other than a real Big Band. TradeWinds delivers exactly that. We are primarily a dance band made up of some of the finest musicians in the Central Valley. Organized along the lines of a traditional Big Band of the Swing Era, we combine a line of saxophones and a brass group, all held together by a stellar rhythm section. Finally, to round out the group, we add both a male and female vocalist.As you might expect, we play a variety of Swing Standards from the 30's and 40's. However, versatility is our guide. We also play a wide selection of American Popular Music, including Jazz, Rock, Motown, Latin, Pop, and Blues from the 50's through the 90's.
