DESCRIPTION:
YES! WE DO CHRISTMAS MUSIC TOO!Dance, listen, watch, and interact. We can be well dressed and on our best behavior or rowdy and outrageous, whatever you need. Our most useful trait is the ability to roam around an event while playing. We have a Tuba, Banjo, Trumpet, Clarinet, and sometimes percussion. This means that we're loud enough without amplification or a need for electricity. For larger events we can provide amplification too. Only 2 minutes of set up time required, which means we can enter at a moments notice and then clear the stage to make room for your raffle, guest speaker, other band, etc. This band is one less headache for the event coordinator. We can mind our own business up on the stage, or we can walk around offering tambourines to the audience members while singing too them. As for the show itself, we play a modernized form of Dixieland Jazz with tasteful twists (if requested) of funk, reggae, rock, and groove. We know a good amount of the old New Orleans Standards as well as modern pop tunes that we play in a festive dixie style. This band has been enjoyed (to say the least) by some of the most difficult and diverse audiences. We have months of experience playing for a major theme park entertaining children and families. We also pack the bars and clubs with college crowds who crave the high energy "happy sound". We've even been known to form large followings of retired folks who suddenly get younger when they see a group of boys in their 20's playing "Sweet Georgia Brown". We also have fans throughout the northeast, which is a surprising novelty for those of your guests who know who we are. Whether it's a small club, corporate party, or major theme park, no one is let down by The Primate Fiasco and we wouldn't have it any other way.
