DESCRIPTION:
We are one of the DC area's most popular jazz bands, and can provide high quality and fun listening and/or dancing Jazz. Our Gigmasters rating of 5 Stars is the highest of any jazz group in DC, and we consistently get great customer feedback. We can create or recreate atmospheres ranging from a "Gatsby-like" pool party to a New York City Jazz club. From Ellington's swinging "Take the A Train" to Herbie Hancock's funky and danceable "Chameleon" and everything in between -- our goal is to deliver classic quality live Jazz to our clients!
Ensemble Options Instrumental Quartet: This is our most popular option and suitable for almost any occasion. With saxophone, piano, bass, and drums, we can span the gamut of music – from nice background jazz and bossas to more upbeat and danceable straight-ahead swing and soul jazz. This is popular for any event (corp. party, wedding, etc) especially where you may want more background music early and more upbeat music later in the event. Instrumental Quartet plus Vocalist: Want to hear the lyrics or sing along when you dance to "Fly me to The Moon"? We can do that! We work with several great DC area Vocalists, and can add vocals easily to the ensemble! Instrumental Trio: This option is most suitable where you want a classy background atmosphere or listening music for your event. The most common trio format is sax, piano and bass, but there are many options. We have been booked in well-known DC area jazz venues as Twins, Café Nema, Sala Thai, Twins Jazz, and Extra Virgin, as well as private receptions, dinners and holiday parties for major banks and law firms. In addition we have performed at functions at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, The University Club, as well as many of the area's finest hotels and private clubs.
References: Some our past clients have agreed to chat with you via email if you wish to get a first hand opinion on the job we have done for past clients. They are listed at the bottom of this note: Feel free to email any or all of them!
Our web site - - will tell you more and give you the dates of our upcoming public appearances. Keep in mind that we will accommodate your event and not necessarily play the same songs, etc. when we are playing in a jazz club!
