Mojazz

MoJazz is a traditional/contemporary jazz band that matches up veteran musicians with an extensive background in jazz performance. MoJazz offers a very classy, distinctive style of jazz entertainment. This band will provide the right touch for, background music, wedding reception, corporate events, music festivals, dancing and any other social/formal event you may have. The group performs a variety of jazz compositions from the 1940's and up to the smooth jazz sounds of today. Writing and arranging original compositions round out the abilities of MoJazz and add an edge and variety to the group's play list. MoJazz, upon request can perform as a trio, or up to a 15 piece jazz orchestra with the big band swing sound.

Upon request, you will have your choice (or both) of two great female vocalists. MoJazz is also the preferred band of recording artists: LiL Greenwood and Karmilla Ali.

LiL Greenwood: Latest CD "Back To My Roots", paint a picture of what it's like to see her perform in person. People will hear the different roots of her music. Now 85 years old, has a commanding stage presence; her vocal style, projection and range; and unrelenting personal warmth which propelled her to success around the world as lead vocalist with the Duke Ellington Jazz Orchestra and Ray Charles. Her voice have grown only sweeter with the years.

Karmilla Ali: Latest CD "Can't Get Out Of This Mood", is the standards made famous by the jazz greats and will always be around. Karmilla is an artist who understands the requirements of artistry. She has a remarkable range and electricity which has given birth to a new and exciting sound on the vocal scene. Where ever she performs, people describe her music as melodic magic. She has performed throughout Europe, the East Coast and Gulf Coast for over 25 years.

MoJazz has presented public pleasing performances at select venues along the Gulf Coast for many years. Will provide references upon request.
