DESCRIPTION:
The Manny Santos Quartet is an experienced and well-seasoned group specializing in hard-swinging jazz, latin jazz, and cocktail music, inclusive of Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra tunes. Manny has performed at Scullers Jazz Club to SOLD OUT audiences. An occasional 'popular' tune is interwoven into the band's repertoire. MSQ often features guest vocalists and touring musicians.Manny Santos has performed with such distinguished artists and educators as MAYA ANGELOU and has also performed with STEVEN TYLER of AEROSMITH. Manny has also worked with such noteables as MAURICE STARR, ANDRE WARD, DONALD HARRISON, and the late SABBY LEWIS, to name a few. 'MSQ' has recently performed with 6-time Grammy Award nominee KURT ELLING at the Democratic National Convention. Whether planning a wedding reception, cocktail party, corporate award banquet, or birthday party 'MSQ' is the group for you. Music is provided for your listening and dancing pleasure. My event was a surprise 50th party for my husband, therefore, I could not be present before the event, which can be nerve-wracking, at best. However,when my husband and I arrived Mr. Santos and his band members were playing up a storm.
I found Mr. Santos to be extremely professional and personable. He was very easy to work with, and since my party had a retro 60's theme, I had asked Manny to play jazz and brazilian music from that era, and he was very accommodating to my request.
Manny's vocalist, Ms. Rose was excellent! Her deep, smooth sound lent itself perfectly to the type of music that we chose.
Nearly every one of the 95 guests came up to me, at some point during the evening, to comment on the band.
To write that I was pleased with my choice of The Manny Santos Quartet would definitely be an understatement, as they turned out to be such a perfect, and memorable part of my husband's 50th!

I give Mannny Santos and his Quartet a 10 out of 10 in all categories. They were a pleasure to work with! Candida Rose has the voice of an angel and they were a perfect ensemble for a Corporate Dinner. They are the best Jazz Band I have heard in a very long time and we extremely accomodating to all my requests and they are also very reasonable as far as their fee! I highly reccommend Manny Santos and the quartet!
