Description

From Bop to Contemporary to Funk to Mainstream, Flatirons Jazz plays a wide cross section of favorite standards and original compositions. For a main event or a subtle background, Flatirons Jazz will be the perfect musical accompaniment.

Flatirons Jazz features Kurt Eherenman and Keith Ley on saxophones and flutes, John Lumia on guitar, Tom Bartling on bass and Alex Eherenman on drums. The group has been together for six years, which shows in their relaxed confidence as they tackle the fastest Parker tunes or the soulful strains of the prettiest ballads.

Aside from concert-style performances, Flatirons Jazz is also available to perform at wedding receptions, corporate events and meetings, bar mitzvahs and family get-togethers, parties, festivals and anywhere else quality music is required.

Recently, Flatirons Jazz performed for The Colorado Rockies Baseball Club at Coors Field in a banquet honoring Corporate Suite owners. For the last several years, we have been invited back to play for the Ball Aerospace Christmas Party at the Denver Convention Center in front of an audience of 2000 people and as entertainment for their reception at the Aerospace Symposium at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Last summer, Flatirons Jazz was featured at the Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts and Fraser Picnic in the Park Concert Series, in addition to a dinner party at former Denver Bronco Ed McCaffery's residence. The band also performed with internationally renowned jazz recording star, Greg Abate at an improvisation seminar and concert. Marguerite Juenemann, formerly of Rare Silk and The Benny Goodman Orchestra, joined Flatirons Jazz on several occasions in the past, most recently at the Boulder Creek Festival and The Grand County Artists Series. Flatirons Jazz has also provided musical entertainment at a number of functions for the Rocky Mountain Center for the Musical Arts.

Please give our demo selections a listen and invite Flatirons Jazz to come play at your next event.

Feedback

  • Flatirons Jazz provided excellent music music for a recent wedding. A large wedding takes lots of arrangments and planning. Kurt, the Flatirons leader. provided professional service in all aspects. Faltrions Jazz is an excellent musical group which can play all requests from the standards list and also arrived in a timely manner. There was no worry or second guessing about this musical group. You can't go wrong. -- Tom H, Boulder, CO, 7/1/2006
  • The Flatirons Jazz Quintet was a true hit at our office holiday party. They showed up on time, looked and acted professional and played a great mix of songs. They played quietly during dinner and picked it up when folks started moving about. It was our pleasure to have them and I have heard many compliments on our selection of a band to play. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. -- Justin J, Boulder, CO, 12/16/2005
  • The Flatirons Jazz Quintet provided the perfect background music for our wedding. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a band with the talent and sensitivity to make the occasion perfect. We have received more compliments from friends and families about how much fun they had at the wedding. I certainly give Flatirons Jazz credit for being an important ingredient in our special day. -- John P, Denver, CO, 4/9/2005
