They've been on stage with The Osmond Brothers, Don Rickles and Carol Connors to name a few, and were mentioned on TV's "Friends." Celebrities, Cybil Sheppard, David Hasselhoff, and Miss America danced the night away to their music. The Swing Kings have performed at a White House recognized benefit hosted by Jay Leno and Oscar De La Hoya and recently played at an event at Paramount Studios honoring Susan Sarandon, Lauren Hutton, Holly Hunter and Helen Hunt. Their Hollywood audiences have included Jack Nicolson, Jon Voight, Annette Bening, Adam Sandler, Paris Hilton, Sylvester Stallone, Dustin Hoffman, Warren Beatty, Robert Duvall and many more. The band members, who are counted among some of the most accomplished and respected West Coast musicians, have performed with such musical greats as: Ray Charles, Burt Bacharach, Joe Cocker, Buddy Rich, Patti La Belle, Jackson Browne, Johnny Mathis, Brian Setzer, Harry James, Count Basie, etc. In their eight year history, THE SWING KINGS have performed coast to coast, thrilling audiences with their mastery of numerous musical styles. Singer and bandleader, Ron Alan, can croon a Sinatra classic as well as belt out a blues or contemporary dance favorite. Other members are spotlighted as they sing their specialties or add soaring vocal harmonies.
As well as an assortment of original songs, The Swing Kings play music for all occasions, performing songs from traditional big band greats Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman, swing era vocalist Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Louis Prima, Louis Jordan, Louis Armstrong and also modern swing bands Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Royal Crown Revue, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Brian Setzer Orchestra and The Stray Cats. In addition the band is proficient in contemporary music from Santana, David Bowie, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry and Elvis just to name a few. Playing mostly dance music the band is extremely versatile playing not only swing dance favorites but also ballroom dance favorites tango, cha cha, rumba, samba, quick step, waltz and the two step.
