Description
The Swing Cats Big Band is composed of top musicians dedicated to the performance and preservation of big band music. Reminisce back to the swingin' sounds of Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey and many others. The Swing Cats take pride in our musical repertoire and provide the audience with an entertaining show that is sure to get the crowd on their feet. No matter if you want to cut a rug with a jump tune, foxtrot, ballad, mambo or waltz, we have the music to suit your dancing needs.
Our groups have performed all over Southern California for corporate functions, weddings, proms, city concerts and special events. Whether you wish for an authentic seventeen-piece big band, ten-piece, ten-piece big band, or a five-piece combo, we can fit your occasion.
Trumpeter and music teacher, Dan Methe, leads the band. An active member of the SCSBOA and IAJE for several years, Dan takes pride in representing a distinctive big band style. As a musician, Dan has performed throughout Southern California, Europe and the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland.
The Swing Cats Big Band is the perfect choice for parties, corporate events, dances, wedding receptions, reunions, concerts in the park or any other occasion that demands quality entertainment.

Feedback
- Swing Cats Big Band and the gorgeous Swing Kittens were the hit of the party! Extremely talented and professional! I can't say enough great things about this wonderful band. Their music got people's feet moving and up on the dance floor. Despite rain and a bad windstorm in Pasadena, they made it to the hotel with plenty of time to spare. Very accommodating, Dan set up his sound system and supplied dinner music when the DJ (who was scheduled to play during the meal service) was late due to the storm. This past week, everyone at work was talking about the incredible band that made the party special. Hire this band and you won't be disappointed. -- Rich P, Pasadena, CA, 12/17/2011
