Established in 1998 the Atlanta based Take5 string quartet has been a popular choice for countless elegant affairs: wedding ceremonies, anniversary celebrations, corporate events, conventions, holiday parties and private receptions. All of our musicians are top notch degreed professionals having performed with many prominent orchestras in the Southeast such as Atlanta Ballet, Atlanta Opera, ASO, Charleston Symphony, Savannah Symphony as well as guest soloists of Atlanta - Ray Charles, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, Olivia Newton-John, John Denver and Moody Blues, to name a few. Our years of experience, coupled with our extensive knowledge of music literature give us the expertise and flexibility to work closely with our clients and to provide an unforgettable musical experience for their special event. We will be happy to help you with any and every aspect of the musical part of your celebration, elevating it to an inspirational level of high entertainment. With us you will have the choice of a String Quintet, Quartet, Trio, Duo or a Solo performer. With Take5 you will also have a choice of two kind of instruments: for weddings and more intimate venues we use the usual traditional acoustic strings crafted by German, Italian and French masters. However, for the larger venues we are the only group in the Southeast that offers the latest hi-tech Yamaha electric string instruments. Not only do they offer the sound and performance of their acoustic siblings, they also endow a musician and the client with the choice of desired tone, sonority and timbre.
