Note: CxpBand always arrives early and start on time. We can provide our own quiet power for those locations where electricity is not an option or noise ordinances are strictly enforced such as on the beach or a gazebo near the lake. If the need is for acoustic background music, we can provide steel drums accompanied by acoustic guitar and congas. With the use of quiet power and a small amplifier, we can also create a semi-acoustic mood with Steel drums and Piano accompaniment. You will be able to enjoy the sweet sounds of the steel drums no matter your location. The Caribbean Experience Band is well know for it’s ability to fuse the Pop and R&B sounds of the US with the sweet flavors of the Caribbean. From songs sung by Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind & Fire and Chaka Kahn to James Taylor, The Beatles and Michael Jackson. We also have a selection of Jimmy Buffett and Top 40 hit songs. We’ll entice you with the songs you know and can sing along to, but give it with an authentic Caribbean flavor. Our members span the various islands of the West Indies, so we can not forget our traditional Caribbean reggae and calypso music from artists such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, The Mighty Sparrow, Jimmy Cliff, Steel Pulse and Third World. Throughout the Holiday season, the Caribbean Experience Band can be a welcomed addition to your event by having us perform all of the traditional holiday songs on the Steel Drums. Your guest will be pleasantly surprised to hear Jingle Bells, White Christmas and The Little Drummer Boy played either traditionally or Caribbean style with the Steel Drums.
