Hello! My name is Laura Packer and I am an award-winning storyteller. I believe stories have the power to entertain, connect, and transform. I've created and shared stories for keynotes, conferences, weddings, funerals, graduations and other life changes, work events, and more. I'd love to share stories with you. What does that mean and what do I do? I'm glad you asked. I do several things as a storyteller: 1) I tell stories. This means I stand up (or sit down if appropriate) and tell stories that will make you and your guests laugh, feel good, and maybe even moved. I tell mostly for adults and older children. I can share traditional stories, brand new material crafted just for you, and more. 2) I share keynotes and motivational talks that move people toward action, connection, and empowerment. 3) I give workshops to help people and organizations craft and tell meaningful stories. 4) I encourage others to share stories. If you want an event that will help everyone feel more connected, I can create a safe environment where people share stories. 5) I improvise stories on the spot. If you want something dynamic and maybe a little risky, I can make up a story out of just a few words. It might work, it might not, but everyone gets to play. I have other 30 years of storytelling performance, teaching, and organizational experience and have won just about every award a performing storyteller can win, including induction into the National Storytelling Network's Circle of Excellence, for standard bearers of the art.
