DESCRIPTION:
Steve has been Involved in music all his life as a singer/soloist performer. He started doing live performances when he was in Jr. High with a vocal group. In High school He had his own vocal group and performed at many school functions and dances. They,The Fi-Dels, also performed for other schools, organizations and dances. Steve also learned to play the trumpet which he incorporates into his performances now. After high school He joined a group called The Electrons. In 1967 they recorded a song called "Ain't No Big Thing", which became a fairly big hit in the Pgh. area. When the other guys in the group went to college Steve joined a group called The Exceptions. He developed this group into an 8 piece show band. They became known as the best show band in the entire region for about 3 years. After that He decided to do a different style and started performing in a trio for about 3 years. Since then Steve has been performing as a single in the general Pittsburgh, Pa. area, doing clubs and restuarants and many types of private functions, such as parties and banquets and Upscale senior living facilities. He has also done a great deal of gospel music, singing in churches all over the Tri-State area. Steve is self contained and travels only with his sound system. He uses background tracks in mp3 format for music, which gives him "close to original sound" quality and allows him a great amount of flexibility in programming for different venues. The music is stored on his computer and played back through the I-tunes program through his sound system.
Steve does the kind of music that is easily recognizable from the forties, fifties and sixties, along with some contemporary arrangements of older tunes as done by contemporary artists such as Michael Buble and Diana Krall. However, he also does other types of tunes that people enjoy hearing and dancing to. He also has a list of Christmas songs that he does for the Christmas season.
Steve's style is smooth and sophisticated leaving one smiling and tapping thier feet. His presentation is clean and professional.
