DESCRIPTION:
The wonderful voice of Steve Swan can bring people out of their seats applauding, on to the dance floor, bring tears to their eyes or gives goose bumps. A performing artist with a guitar since a teen Steve played cover tunes, original rock, country, satire, new age and Christian music as a singer/musician. As a solo singer Steve currently focuses on the wonderful Legendary sound of Frank Sinatra and other greats. His tribute performances are so good, often people remark that even his eyes are blue, although they are actually green.Steve as a Frank Sinatra tribute singer is available to perform solo with recorded backing tracks, with other members of a Rat Pack Tribute or can join a live big band. On acoustic guitar he can serenade with original romantic ballads, country tunes or play a long list of well known songs. He has music partners who can join him on guitar and with drums if a fuller sound is needed for your event or regular bookings. Steve plays as a solo bagpiper. Steve's parents both played the trumpet. He inherited a great set of lungs. His family is proud of their Scottish heritage. His tartan is MacKay, plus Royal Stewart or Black Watch. Steve taught himself to play the pipes in his early 20's from listening to pipe performances near his home and at Stern Grove. When he plays in the open, he draws people till they surround him, a bit like the pied piper or moths to the flame. Want to rock? Steve sings and plays electric guitar accompanied by backing tracks for his solo show of original and/or cover tunes. When he plays with others for a fuller sound he plays bass or rhythm while singing lead or harmonizing with other band members to crank out the good ol' Rock and Roll. New Age provides interesting backgound music for events, hotels and restaurants- Steve plays the electric lead guitar to his own new age compositions. The rest of the composition is pre-recorded because he plays all the parts. Steve is a gifted musician who can play most any instrument he picks up, the first time, or sing a new song in just a few days. If you need your favorite song at an event just request it. He knows hundreds of songs. His piano style is excellent, a bit like Elton John, but he reserves it for recording only. Where Steve shines is at the mike. His mature melodious voice and clear style of singing is perfect for the timeless songs of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis and Andy Williams. He can deliver an excellent rendition of Louis Armstrong or Elvis tune or any Rock and Roller out there. At one of 3 New Year's Eve performances, a woman said,"My husband is the Frank fan. I never liked him, but we both loved Steve." Take a moment and listen to the Voice of Steve Swan.

CLIENT FEEDBACK:
Steve and his wife Mary were wonderful. Having Steve play the bagpipes for my wedding was a special gift and surprise to my Scottish husband. From the first moment I spoke with Steve's wife Mary, I knew I need not look any further. Steve and Mary worked with me on keeping the bagpipes a surprise and showed as much passion about my wedding day as if it were their own daughters wedding. Steve played my processional and re-cesional. Amazing Grace on the bagpipes never sounded more spectacular than when Steve played it. He was a joy to listen to and a sweet and profesional man. I will continue to use him for further events. - Amy P.
