For solemn or celebratory occasions, Jennifer can assist you with great singing and advice on choosing the right music/musicians. Easy to work with, Jennifer will help you to select and arrange music for one singer, small group, or a full wedding or dance band.With a University background in both classical and jazz vocal performance, Jennifer offers class and musical sophistication to your event. She is a talented and confident professional having performed from a young age. Young and attractive, with training in theatre, and a one-of-a-kind voice, she can hold the attention of large audiences and move the emotions of her listeners. As an experienced Bandleader/Producer Jennifer will customize the music and musicians to fit the needs of your event. You are offered a FREE consultation to help plan the music for your event. Whether consulting about music, performing solo, or leading a band, Jennifer Isaacs will help you design the perfect event. With a host of musician contacts in the NYC/NJ area as well as New England, with your approval, Jennifer will hire the right players to present the music you request. Her training as a musician/composer/arranger guarantees that for any music you want, she will write out the music for any sized band. She can even help write out or arrange original songs/lyrics for you to make your event one of a kind. Ask about designing a Custom Wedding Package; Jennifer is able to coordinate musicians for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, as well as the logistics of the event, like 'first dance' and 'processional.' Jennifer Isaacs offers a fresh perspective on standards with her unique voice and distinctive phrasing. With training in both jazz and classical voice, Jennifer’s singing illustrates full control over a fine instrument. More than just a talented stage performer, Jennifer Isaacs is also a skilled arranger/composer/and lyricist. Working in and around New York City and New England, her set list includes many of her jazz arrangements of non-jazz tunes, as well as jazz and blues inspired songs of her own composition. Jennifer Isaacs has worked with Cidade and guitarist Charlie Apicella for almost ten years. Satisfy My Soul, an album of her originals with jazz arrangements of pop, reggae, classical, and rock tunes will be released in early 2009.
Jennifer is one of a new generation of University- trained young jazz musicians. Like her peers, she demonstrates a refined appreciation of the history of jazz with a goal to continue its cause. Beyond this goal, Jennifer seeks to widen the scope of jazz to appeal to wider audiences by drawing from other genres. While staying true to the traditions of vocal jazz, her song choices and vocal stylings represent a wide variety of music idioms.
