Praised for her delivery of “powerful and emotional performances”, Jenn Raithel Newman has been deemed the “audience favorite” by the The Arizona Republic which has also noted the soprano to sing with “spin and beauty”. With an impressive vocal versatility and a diverse reper-
toire of roles to her credit ranging from “Pamina” in Die Zauberflote to “Sister Amnesia” in Nunsense, Newman’s unique abilities as a crossover artist have made her a sought after pops performer
with symphonies such as the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Winston-Salem Symphony, and The Phoenix Symphony. She will make her Portland Symphony Orchestra debut this summer in their “Independence Pops” Series and returns to The Phoenix Symphony next May in “A Tribute to
Rodgers & Hammerstein”. In addition to her live performances, Newman just released her first solo CD, Someone to Watch, showcasing this soprano’s dynamic voice. She partnered with Larry Loeber (principal pianist for The Phoenix Symphony) and Steve Fitch (lead percussionist for The Phoenix Symphony) for this amazing journey of song, recorded in Arizona and mastered at Capitol Records in Hollywood. An alumni from Arizona State University, Newman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Opera/Musical Theater Performance. This diverse soprano also has sung gospel music extensively throughout the United States and has an instrument that lends itself beautifully to the styles of opera, musical theater, pop, and jazz. Ms. Newman performs live with her pianist, Larry Loeber and drummer, Steve Fitch for cabaret/Broadway/jazz gigs and with her pianist, Larry Loeber for an evening of Opera Arias.
