Veteran jazz guitarist/vocalist Doc Dosco will bring a warm and intimate performance to your wedding or party. Doc Dosco sings in the style of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole - uptempo jazz, standards, romantic ballads and easy listening jazz. Doc is a noted Los Angeles guitarist with an impressive background. He plays instrumental jazz in the style of Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass and George Benson, Doc's bluesy jazz guitar captivates listeners with a beautiful melodic style. Although Doc Dosco specializes in jazz and standards, he also has music for guests of all ages and types, sets of blues, rockabilly, R&B, oldies and even country for those who want a change of pace. Doc says 'I am known as a jazz guitarist, with a large repertoire of jazz/standards and bossa novas, but I have more than 30 years worth of other kinds of material I can pull out when requested.' Doc plays as a single, a duo with upright bass, and has his trio with drums. Horns and keys can be added for a big band sound. Doc plays and sings jazz, standards, romantic ballads and many other styles if requested and is great for weddings, wedding ceremonies, cocktails, dinners, or for a reception or party. Doc's vocal song list and instrumental repertoire is perfect for background, easy listening or for dinning and dancing. Doc Dosco has played, recorded with, or written songs for the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Anthony, The Drifters, The Diamonds, The Platters, The Coasters, Freddie Cannon, Wolfman Jack, Nina Hagen, Ian Whitcomb, Big Jay McNeely and Motown recording artists Black Russian. Doc Dosco has also played, written or recorded with jazz greats such as Blue Mitchell, Eddie Harris, Red Halloway, Joe Albany and Herman Riley and has done recording session work with such notables as Cedar Walton, Bobby Lyle, Gene Harris, Harold Land, Bill Champlin, Sly Stone.
