ABOUT MY MUSIC -- After a few years off from playing and singing professionally, I recently decided to revive my career. I discovered I was at that "awkward age" for getting back into rock'n'roll: much too old to start a boy band, and a little too young for the Rolling Stones! So, I decided to "mellow out", as we used to say. I have developed a wide repertoire of standards, pop songs, and jazz tunes in a light style as a background for dining, receptions, cocktail parties -- basically any special event that I can help make more special by adding a little touch of class. Most of my songs can be performed either as vocal with guitar, or solo guitar, depending on the occasion. While many of my arrangements are in a mellow ballad style, I also have plenty of upbeat swing and pop songs, and have even been known to break into an occasional rumba or samba.

WEDDINGS -- In addition to my list of traditional and popular wedding songs, I am always glad to add songs to my wedding repertoire that are requested by the bride and groom. I can provide all of the musical needs for your special event, including background music at the reception dinner, and pre-service music and solos for the ceremony. (Honeymoon NOT included! You'll just have to listen to the radio!)

HOLIDAY PARTIES -- When the holiday season rolls around, I brush up on the songs of the season (secular and/or religious, depending on the occasion), and enjoy entertaining at Christmas parties, where singing along is strongly encouraged. (Sorry, I don't wear a Santa suit; gets in the way of playing guitar!)

ABOUT MYSELF -- I have had a varied musical career over the past 40 years. I left college during the hippie era, and played full-time with a touring rock band. After a few years, I went back to school and received my Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in guitar from the University of Northern Colorado. I spent several years teaching public school music and private lessons. Since moving in a different career direction for my primary bread-winning efforts, I have stayed involved in music, performing in a wide variety of different styles and venues: club bands playing jazz, rock, and country; community concert and jazz bands; church and community choral groups; soloist for weddings and special occasions.
