Giancarlo Trotti Saxophonist from Washington, DC

Giancarlo Trotti is presently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts music degree at American University School of Arts and Sciences in Washington, DC. Giancarlo is a saxophone player who is also proficient in instruments such as the guitar, piano, flute and clarinet. Giancarlo is presently an instructor at the International School of Music with additional teaching experience at Middle C Music and Bach to Rock. Over the last nine years, Giancarlo has performed in a multitude of ensembles including the American University (AU) Jazz Orchestra, the AU Saxophone Quartet, the AU Chi Alpha Campus Ministries Band, the AU Symphonic Band, the NYC All City Marching Band, and the prestigious NYC All City Jazz Band. Additionally, Giancarlo was an active participant in his local community soccer program, The Forest Hills Youth Athletic Association, in New York. Over numerous years with this organization, Giancarlo held many roles; however, the most fulfilling was his work as a soccer referee and clinic assistant wherein he taught soccer skills and sportsmanlike conduct to young children. Presently, in his spare time, Giancarlo frequently writes and composes music and performs at social events, parties and with other musicians. Most of all, Giancarlo enjoys instructing students in a wide variety of instruments with the hope of instilling a lifelong passion for music and a solid skill set in which to achieve this goal. Currently, Giancarlo enjoys cohosting and performing in biweekly open mic nights at Tight Five Pub in Washington, DC.
